Tamarins House which houses Tamarins Group HQ; is located along Pengkalan Weld. Fully renovated in 2016, Tamarins House is a 7-storey commercial building overlooking heritage Georgetown.
Hexagon Techpark is a commercial/industrial development located on the edge of George Town. This 18-year old abandoned project has been upgraded as one of the first fibre optic-equipped building in George Town, and is set to house tech-savvy business users such as software developers, designers and market traders. The 161 revived units are a testament to our reliability as a White Knight.
One of Tamarins’ project in Mainland Penang, Seberang Perai, Taman Ampang Jajar is a mixed development consisting of three main components – 17 shop/office units, 123 terrace houses and 304 high-rise low-cost apartments. The project was successfully completed in 2010.
Strategically situated in one of the bustling commercial hubs of Penang city, with easy access to Bayan Lepas, George Town, the Mainland and comprehensive public amenities, B-Suite has emerged as the first choice of residence for business travellers to the island. One of our very first ventures into the hospitality sector in 2008, this project has garnered us a solid reputation as an astute developer.
A private residential development comprising a Bungalow and 6 Semi-detached homes tucked away in the heart of the prestigious York Road, Lengkok York is comfortably cradled amidst lush greenery yet conveniently situated within a short drive to the city. Completed in 2003, its excellent location offers easy “15 minutes-to-anywhere” convenience and luxurious living in Penang.
Tamarins’ first White Knight project, Suria Mutiara was successfully revived in 2002 after years of being left abandoned. Together with the appointed liquidator, Ernst & Young, we completed the development within a year of its initiated date. A total of 136 affordable high-rise apartments were beautifully restored in the now thriving Perak Road area.
Our first take-over project that has set the benchmark for boutique developments in the prime Island Park neighbourhood, Taman Lembah Hijau is a freehold, mixed development that consists of 24 units of 3-storey terrace houses and 182 units of medium-cost apartments.
Cradled within a landed residential enclave, Rambai encompasses 46 Semi-detached residences within the Air Itam district. Conveniently located with easy access to the city, Bayan Lepas Free Industrial Zone and Penang Bridge, it became a highly sought after property after its completion in 2000.
A commercial landmark in the heart of Bayan Lepas, Bayan Point is a mixed development that comprises 67 units of 3-storey shop offices and a hotel tower comprising 306 rooms, also known as B-Suite. Located close to the Free Industrial Zone and Queensbay Mall, the development is easily accessible via the Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu Expressway, Penang International Airport and Penang Bridge.
Tamarins’ second major development in the Perak Road area, Eastern Court, completed in 1999, consists of 451 units of affordable high-rise apartments. Building on the success of Desa Green, which set new standards in the area for affordability, Eastern Court carries on the legacy of providing affordable housing in a convenient and strategic locale.
Located in one of the most sought after addresses in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Damansara Villa, comprises 52 exquisite condominiums set amidst verdant landscaped greenery and reserved forests and served by resort-style facilities. Completed in 1993, the development set new standards for tranquil living within a bustling city.
Freehold, 3-storey residential apartments with a built-up size of approximately 1,238 square feet for each of only 13 exclusive units. One of the pioneering boutique developments in George Town, Penang and strategically located on Dunn Road, it is still one of the preferred addresses on the island today.
Completed in 1991, Desa Green comprises 923 units of affordable high-rise apartments within the flourishing vicinity of Perak Road. This development emerged as the first high-rise apartment that ushered in the rapid development of the area, which has since turned into a haven for homemakers due its affordability, convenience and strategic location between George Town and Bayan Lepas.

Tamarins brought a personal touch to this luxurious development nestled on the hill with a magnificent view of the sea and city. Jascilla View, inspired by the founder’s daughters Priscella and Jasmine, was our first luxury project consisting of 13 low-rise apartments. Completed in 1989, it remains a discreet and cosy residential development with excellent investment value.
Located within the thriving George Town area Off Lintang P. Ramlee, this 5-storey low-cost low-rise apartment block is located a stone’s throw from complete public amenities including major shopping malls such as Penang Times Square, Prangin Mall and 1st Avenue Mall. It was completed in 1987 with a total of 28 units.
In the 80s, Tamarins had envisioned Tanjung Tokong as an up and coming suburb with excellent potential for development and investment growth. This led to the creation of Excel House, one of the pioneering low-density residential developments in the area. Completed in 1987, Excel House, a successive project of Excel Court, features 12 sleek contemporary low-rise apartments.
Situated along the highly prized northern coast of Penang Island, Excel Court comprises 28 units of low-rise apartments, completed in 1987. It is strategically positioned between George Town and the famous beaches of Batu Feringghi, Penang’s hottest tourist spot, enjoying easy accessibility to various parts of the island, including Straits Quay, Gurney Drive and town area.
One of the first developments that were erected along Macalister Road in Penang, Wisma Lister Garden is a 6-storey office building with a total of 23 office units. Completed in 1984, it is still one of the most sought-after addresses today for its strategic and convenient location.
